Why eat raw?
If you are looking for optimum health, then there is no question that the raw food diet is the way forward. It is what works for the whole of the rest of nature, and although we may like to think that we are different from the rest of creation, in truth we are not.
Nothing in nature consumes foods that have been chemically altered or cooked by high temperatures. Cooking may have in the past made some foods more palatable, meat and grain in particular. However, we are naturally frugivorous (fruit-eating), the great apes are our closest relatives here on Earth and our original diet would have been ape-like, consisting primarily of fruit and green leaves.
It is probable that our ancestors needed to introduce less favourable foods to their diets when under certain conditions fruit became scarce. We introduced compromise foods and as part of the process we compromised ourselves.
Ok, I'm not saying that everyone needs to turn into vegan-raw foodists overnight (Wow! Imagine that!!) But, if you're looking for increased vitality, well-being and ultimately health, then it's possibly the best direction to head in. Eating more natural, raw foods can only ever be a good thing.
Hey, let’s celebrate because we have the freedom to do it right now (and save on our fuel bills at the same time.) Go raw, beat the Credit-Crunch!!
We can step back into the Garden of Eden right now and eat the perfect foods that we have been given! We've had it on a plate all along (or maybe a tree or a bush to be more precise! Sorry, no more dodgy jokes I promise!!)
Let's eat natural food in the way nature intended.
Let us eat more Raw!
